Centurion Group, a global provider of specialized rental equipment and infrastructure services, has acquired crane rental company Trand.
The acquisition strengthens Centurion’s push into the domestic onshore wind market, building on Sawyer, Kan.-based Trand’s track record serving wind-related lifting operations, according to a Centurion release today. The acquisition also complements Centurion’s Minnesota-based subsidiary Althoff Crane Service, supporting Centurion’s regional growth and aftermarket operations overall.
Trand’s expertise will allow Centurion to take on larger and more complex projects in the Midwest, Chief Executive Euan Leask stated in the release.
United Kingdom-based Centurion reported $130 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in 2025, up from $105 million in 2024, according to the release.
