Einride, an end-to-end provider of autonomous and EV freight solutions, has appointed retired U.S. Army Gen. Keith Alexander to its board of directors as it expands into the defense sector.
Stockholm-based Einride has established a dedicated defense business following pilot contracts with a European NATO-allied defense organization, according to a release today. Einride plans to continue investing in specialized talent and expertise to scale its defense offerings after validating its technology in pilot programs.
Einride’s securitization-based financing structure is a crucial part of its growth strategy, Chief Executive Roozbeh Charli previously told EFN.
Alexander is a former director of the National Security Agency and founding commander of U.S. Cyber Command. He also founded cybersecurity firm IronNet and is an Amazon board member.
