Transportation Equipment Network is bringing its transportation and fleet services to the Houston area, providing the company with access to the country’s largest water port by tonnage.

Transportation Equipment Network (TEN), a leading trailer leasing and fleet services provider, has launched operations in the Houston market through a collaboration with Darda Management Group, according to a TEN release today. The move strengthens TEN’s presence in one of the country’s busiest logistics hubs and expands its customer-first service model across the Gulf Coast.

As part of the logistics hub, the Houston Port Authority serves as the United States’ largest water port by tonnage at 309.5 million tons in 2023’s most recent data, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics‘ Tonnage of Top 50 U.S. Water Ports, Ranked by Total Tons dataset. In fact, 3 of the 5 largest water ports in the United States are in the Houston area.

The partnership will enable Houston-area businesses to access TEN’s national trailer fleet and flexible service programs, supported by Darda’s regional expertise and operational agility, according to the release. Darda, a Houston-based trailer lessor and seller with over 20 years of industry experience, brings an understanding of the local market and a reputation for responsive service.

“Space City” will also serve as a key activation site for TEN Ready, the company’s emergency response initiative designed to deliver critical equipment during natural disasters and other emergencies.

TEN, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, operates nearly 50 locations across North America with a fleet of 86,000 trailers and a workforce of more than 1,000 employees, according to the release.
