Autonomous vehicle technology company Cyngn has launched a commercial program designed to help manufacturers and warehouses deploy autonomous material-handling technology without significant upfront costs or long-term commitments.
The program, called DriveMod EasyLaunch, allows qualifying customers to automate repetitive material-movement routes using Cyngn’s DriveMod Autonomous Tugger through a monthly subscription, according to an Oct. 12 Cyngn release. Deployments can be completed in a matter of weeks.
EasyLaunch is aimed at indoor applications such as moving carts, pallets, parts and supplies between production, warehouse and staging areas.
Cyngn handles vehicle deployment, autonomous configuration and onboarding, while customers can manage usage and monitor vehicle activity through the company’s fleet management software. The program is part of Cyngn’s broader effort to reduce the upfront cost and implementation complexity associated with industrial automation.
OEMs using Cyngn’s technology include John Deere, electric forklift maker BYD and industrial EV maker Motrec International, according to the company.
