Lendscape has launched its Model Context Protocol Server, a new AI platform designed to help equipment finance providers automate servicing, collections and portfolio management workflows.
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server connects lenders’ live Lendscape environments with AI assistants from providers including OpenAI, Anthropic and Microsoft, according to a June 11 Lendscape release. Through a secure interface, the tools can access operational data, analyze portfolios, simulate transactions and execute approved actions within a lender’s business guardrails.
The launch marks Lendscape’s entry into the growing market for AI-powered equipment finance technology as lenders seek to improve efficiency and reduce manual work, according to the release.
The platform can perform tasks ranging from portfolio risk analysis and asset performance monitoring to customer payment restructurings. Any proposed action must be validated against lender-defined policies before execution, creating a controlled environment for AI-assisted decision-making.
The technology addresses a key barrier to AI adoption in equipment finance by providing a standardized method for AI systems to interact with live operational data rather than serving solely as conversational tools, according to the release.
Because of equipment finance regulations, the MCP Server separates AI-generated recommendations from execution, with all actions validated by the platform and recorded through an auditable process, according to the release.
