Equipment auctioneer Ritchie Bros., a subsidiary of commercial vehicle marketplace RB Global, sold more than 16,000 trucks, other vehicles and pieces of equipment at its global auction in Orlando, Florida.

The auction, held between Feb. 17 and Feb. 21, generated over $250 million in gross transaction value, RB Global announced in a Feb. 26 release. The event drew more than 19,000 participants from over 75 countries, with about 88% of the equipment purchased by U.S. buyers.

Among the top-selling items was a 2007 Liebherr all-terrain crane, which sold for $910,000. A 2023 Caterpillar 395 excavator fetched $900,000, and a 2020 Kenworth T880 truck sold for $117,500, according to the release.

The company noted strong engagement from in-person buyers using additional services, including financing options through Ritchie Bros. Financial Services.

The third annual Equipment Finance Connect at the JW Marriott Nashville on May 14-15, 2025, is the only event for both equipment dealers and finance providers. Learn more and register here.
