OEM Yanmar America Finance has selected fintech Vero Technologies to support the launch of its captive floorplan finance program for Yanmar‘s U.S. dealer network.
Yanmar America Finance, the financing arm of Yanmar America, will use Vero as its technology partner and servicer under a “Lending-as-a-Service” model, according to a Vero release today. Yanmar will establish credit policies and financing terms while maintaining its relationships with dealers, and Vero will service the loans through its wholesale finance platform, VeroOS.
The program is expected to launch in the first half of 2027.
The captive structure gives Yanmar greater control over the terms it offers dealers instead of relying on third-party floorplan lenders. The OEM will be able to adjust eligibility requirements, advance rates and curtailment schedules as well as provide accommodations during slower seasonal periods.
The ability to manage inventory financing directly also helps OEMs recruit and retain dealers given that financing terms can influence a dealer’s decision to carry a particular equipment brand.
“Bringing inventory finance in-house allows us to tailor program terms directly to our dealers’ needs,” Josh Ernst, senior manager of commercial finance at Yanmar America Finance, stated in the release. “VeroOS centralizes every stage of the dealer journey, from initial onboarding to daily loan servicing, on one platform. That single-environment efficiency and clean vendor integration ensure a frictionless experience for our dealers as we scale.”
Ernst held the same title for Yanmar America, before the new captive was announced, according to LinkedIn.
