Robert Mazer, founder of Canadian farm equipment dealership Mazergroup and dealer partner of the North American Equipment Dealers Association, died on July 6 after a brief battle with cancer. He was 75.
Mazer began farming at 17 and joined his father’s equipment dealership in 1969, according to a Mazergroup LinkedIn post. Under his leadership, Mazer grew Mazergroup into a prominent dealership network with 18 locations across Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
Known for his commitment to customer service, team development and community involvement, Mazer was a 2025 inductee into the Farm Equipment Dealership Hall of Fame. In 2024, Mazergroup was named Dealership of the Year, a reflection of his enduring influence.
Mazer supported numerous local initiatives and organizations throughout his life and is remembered for his leadership, generosity and vision, the company wrote.
