International Motors has introduced the International eRH Series, an all-electric Class 8 regional haul tractor designed for heavy-duty regional and drayage applications.
Penske is among the first to adopt the eRH as part of its transition to electric vehicles. International is supporting customer adoption with consulting services, infrastructure planning, onboarding, and grant support, according to an April 23 International announcement.
Maintenance service contracts and financing options are available through International Financial.
The vehicle is available in 4×2 and 6×4 axle configurations and offers a range of up to 300 miles, depending on configuration, battery size, and usage, according to the release. Built on the platform of the diesel-powered RH Series, the eRH features a 113-inch bumper-to-back-of-cab measurement for improved visibility, tight-turning wheelbases, and the Bendix Fusion driver assistance system, while its ergonomic cab design emphasizes driver comfort and usability.
Battery options include lithium nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) packs with usable capacities from 300kWh to 500kWh, providing high energy density and lower curb weight to maximize payload. The eRH also includes single and tandem eAxle configurations and three regenerative braking levels, contributing to efficiency and reduced operating costs.
The third annual Equipment Finance Connect at the JW Marriott Nashville on May 14-15, 2025, is the only event for both equipment dealers and finance providers. Learn more and register here.
