Volvo Construction Equipment dealer TranSource Truck and Equipment is expanding into western territories.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based TranSource will enter Montana, Wyoming and western Nebraska as the region’s exclusive Volvo CE dealer following an asset purchase agreement with Tri-State Truck and Equipment that closed Nov. 11, according to a Nov. 13 Volvo release.

As part of the agreement, Tri-State transferred leases and inventory at five dealerships in Montana and Wyoming to TranSource. The purchase also includes Tri-State’s Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks dealerships. The move brings TranSource to 10 locations and marks its second expansion this year.

In its new territory, TranSource plans to offer articulated haul trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, rigid haulers, compact equipment, compactors and related services. In Nebraska, the lineup will include general-purpose equipment and compact machines, but not compactors.

“TranSource has been a strong and steady Volvo CE dealer, continuously meeting and exceeding market share,” Scott Young, head of the North American region for Volvo CE, stated in the release. “This territory expansion provides customers with more inventory flexibility, access to a larger rental fleet and more service capabilities.”
