Opifex-Synergy has raised $450 million through a private offering of senior secured second-lien notes due in 2034, providing new capital to expand its equipment rental fleet, invest in specialty equipment and support growth across U.S. infrastructure and construction markets.

The Houston-based equipment rental and infrastructure services provider said proceeds from the offering will fund rental fleet modernization, expanded specialty rental offerings and enhanced customer service, according to a June 24 release. J.P. Morgan served as lead bookrunner.

The financing reflects continued investment in the equipment rental sector as companies position themselves to meet demand from infrastructure, industrial, institutional and commercial construction projects.

Opifex-Synergy plans to use some of the proceeds to strengthen relationships with enterprise customers managing complex job sites, according to the release. The company also expects the capital to support hiring, improve equipment availability and expand field service capabilities.

The company operates 39 locations across 12 of the nation’s 22 largest metropolitan areas and plans to drive growth through higher same-store sales, expanded rental offerings and additional branch expansion in high-demand markets, according to the release.

Opifex-Synergy’s rental fleet includes aerial lifts, earthmoving equipment, trench safety systems, pumps, compaction equipment, material handling equipment and other specialty assets.
