Northside Tool Rental acquired Able 2 Rent All in Fayetteville, Ga., and Patrick’s Rentals & Sales in McDonough, Ga., expanding the family-owned equipment rental company to six locations across metro Atlanta.

The deal brings together three longtime Atlanta-area rental industry families — the Milling, Nickell and Douville families — under one platform focused on the south Atlanta rental market, according to a May 16 release.

Atlanta-based Northside Tool Rental was founded in 1953 by Roy Milling, grandfather of current owners Jeff and Steffen Lignugaris and former president of the American Rental Association. Able 2 Rent All and Patrick’s Rentals & Sales, formerly operated by the Douville family, serve customers in Fayette and Henry counties.

The acquired locations will rebrand as Northside Tool Rental in the coming months while retaining their staffs and operational approaches, according to the release. The Douville family will retain ownership of the real estate tied to both locations.

The acquisitions support Northside’s strategy of building a regional rental platform focused on serving small and midsize contractors across metro Atlanta, according to the release. The company also plans to invest in fleet expansion, technology and staffing at both locations throughout 2026, according to the release.

Josh Nickell, chief executive of Northside Tool Rental, will join a panel on the rental revolution this afternoon at the fourth annual Equipment Finance Connect, a crucial industry event for equipment lenders and dealers. Follow coverage at equipmentfinancenews.com.
