Freight and logistics solutions provider ArcBest just introduced a new product to enhance material handling efficiency.

Fort Smith, Ark.-based ArcBest has launched Vaux Vision, technology designed to transform forklifts into intelligent mobile dimensioners, according to a Feb. 10 release.

Vaux Vision uses 3D perception technology to provide precise, real-time freight measurement directly on forklifts. Sensors activate when freight is lifted, capturing dimensions, images and shipment details without disrupting workflow. Operators receive instant feedback via a tablet, and data is securely stored in the cloud. The system accommodates freight of various shapes and sizes, not limited to standard pallets.

In addition, the technology captures photos during freight pickup and drop-off to improve visibility and transparency. It also uses AI to identify damaged and hazardous materials and stackability.

Vaux Vision will remain in the pilot phase as the company refines the technology before broader deployment, according to the release.

The third annual Equipment Finance Connect at the JW Marriott Nashville on May 14-15, 2025, is the only event for both equipment dealers and finance providers. Learn more and register here.
