John Deere expands tech offerings for loaders
Features include safety summaries, heat map analytics
John Deere has introduced SmartDetect Digital, an advanced digital safety solution for select mid-size and large loaders, enhancing jobsite awareness and risk management.
Building on the existing SmartDetect system, SmartDetect Digital is integrated with the John Deere Operations Center and offers near real-time push notifications, event-based video reporting, weekly safety summaries and heat map analytics, the company announced in a March 12 release. These features will help jobsite managers improve safety protocols and optimize worksite layouts.
SmartDetect provides audible and visual alerts when objects or people are detected behind the loader. The digital upgrade allows supervisors to receive incident notifications and analyze recorded data for better risk management, according to the release.
