Hitachi, Foresee Power partner on electric equipment
Partnership to support Hitachi's transition to low-emission machinery
OEM Hitachi and battery systems provider Foresee Power are collaborating to bring electrification to mining, rail and construction equipment.
The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding, supporting Hitachi’s transition to lower-emission heavy-duty solutions, according to a May 28 release by Foresee Power. The companies also plan to collaborate on aftersales services in key international markets.
“By combining our battery expertise and global aftermarket footprint with Hitachi’s recognized electrical systems know-how, we aim to accelerate the deployment of hybrid and full-battery solutions for demanding applications,” Frederic Poupeau, vice president of Asia-Pacific at Forsee Power, stated in the release.
