NAEDA, AED to merge in January
Organization will be Associated Equipment Dealers
The North American Equipment Dealers Association and Associated Equipment Distributors will merge effective in January, creating a combined organization that will operate as Associated Equipment Dealers and serve equipment dealers and distributors across the United States and Canada.
The merger will combine the associations’ resources, expertise and member services, with advocacy and industry affairs serving as a central focus, according to today’s Associated Equipment Distributors release.
The combined Associated Equipment Dealers (AED) will represent dealers with policymakers, manufacturers and other industry stakeholders while continuing programs in education, workforce development, dealer-manufacturer relations, research, events and member services.
Steve Hunt, chairman of North American Equipment Dealers Association’s board and president of H&R Agri-Power, said the new organization intends to preserve valued member services while expanding support for equipment dealers, according to the release.
Marshall Anderson, chairman of AED’s board and executive vice president of RDO Equipment Co., said the merger will help align advocacy efforts and strengthen dealer representation across North America.
The associations said leadership and staff will work together ahead of the January effective date to maintain continuity of programs and services, according to the release. AED represents more than 7,800 dealer locations across North America and 1,000 companies worldwide.
