PotisEdge, Lion Power partner on forklift electrification
Companies plan more than 10,000 battery systems annually
Global energy storage systems provider PotisEdge has signed an agreement with Lion Power, a developer of autonomous battery-swapping systems, for material handling equipment.
The deal expands the companies’ long-term partnership to deliver advanced battery and power management solutions for the material handling market, which includes more than 1 million forklifts in North America, according to a PotisEdge release today.
Under the agreement, PotisEdge will integrate Lion Power’s autonomous technology with its battery management systems. The companies plan to deliver more than 10,000 battery systems annually and improve electric forklift performance, reduce operating costs and support sustainability goals.
PotisEdge plans for regional production, localized support systems and optimized material handling operations.
