Briggs Industrial promotes Wells to president

SCJ Commercial, SLR Equipment Finance land new executives

A heavy-equipment supplier, an insurance provider, a fintech and several financial services firms reported key leadership changes in January. 

Wells promoted to president at Briggs Industrial Solutions 

Dallas-based Briggs Industrial Solutions, a material handling equipment dealer and solutions provider, promoted Leland Wells from chief operating officer to president, effective Jan. 1, according to a Jan. 3 release.  

Wells replaced Dan Lister, who was elevated to chief executive of Briggs’ parent company Sammons Industrial. Wells joined the company in 2015 and has held several leadership roles, including general manager for the Dallas-Fort Worth and mid-South regions. Prior to joining Briggs, he worked with multiple manufacturing and distribution companies, including Baker Distributing and Lennox International, according to LinkedIn.  

Ogden steps up at SCJ Commercial Financial Services 

Scott Ogden has been promoted to president of SCJ Commercial Financial Services, a commercial debt buyer that specializes in equipment finance charge-offs and business-to-business portfolios. The change was effective immediately, according to a Jan. 9 release from Harrington, Del.-based financial institution.  

Ogden, the former executive vice president, succeeded Mike Hammon, who will become president of auto finance lender American Finance. Ogden has been with SCJ since 2019, when he started as director of operations.  

Solifi appoints Corazzi to CEO role 

Minneapolis-based software company Solifi, a provider of equipment finance and floorplan finance solutions, appointed Dan Corazzi as chief executive effective Jan. 13, according to a Jan. 7 release. Former CEO David Hamilton will now be chairman of the company’s Board of Directors. 

Corazzi previously served as chief revenue officer at procurement software provider Jaggaer. With 25 years of experience in the software industry, he has also held executive positions at SAP and ESM Solutions. 

Alexander named SVP of direct sales at SLR    

Wilton, Conn.-based SLR Equipment Finance named Donna Alexander senior vice president of direct sales, effective immediately, according to a Jan. 10 release. 

Alexander will spearhead the company’s leasing and direct lending operations in the central United States. She was most recently regional sales manager at Equify Financial and started her finance career at GE Capital. 

Acquis taps Ault as CRO

Global specialty insurance provider Acquis named Craig Ault as chief revenue officer, according to a Jan. 16 release. He will oversee financial growth strategies in the United States.  

Most recently, Ault was CRO at Honour Capital. Before that, he held executive roles at ATEL Capital Group, Wintrust Commercial Finance and CSI Leasing. 

Acquis, a subsidiary of NSM Insurance Group, provides insurance solutions for the equipment leasing and asset finance industry.
