DLL and Iveco Group have finalized a joint venture to expand access to low- and zero-emission commercial vehicles in Europe.
DLL acquired a 51% stake in GATE, Iveco Group’s sustainable mobility subsidiary, through a reserved capital increase, while Iveco retains 49%, according to an Oct. 1 DLL release. The new ownership structure provides GATE with enhanced financial backing and expertise in asset-based financing, allowing it to scale more quickly and efficiently.
GATE was founded in Italy in 2023 and expanded to France and Germany in 2024. It offers rental solutions tailored to fleet operators transitioning to more sustainable vehicles, according to the release. Customers benefit from a digital ecosystem and premium partner services that support the shift to cleaner mobility.
With the joint venture, GATE plans to extend its reach into additional countries where DLL and Iveco already operate, according to the release. Over time, the initiative could expand beyond Iveco-branded vehicles to include similar solutions for other manufacturers.
