Equipment finance software provider Alfa has launched a platform for equipment financiers that will allow companies to further their digitalization efforts.
London-based Alfa’s preconfigured software platform, called Alfa Start, serves as an entry point to digitalization for equipment finance companies, Michael Mousdale, senior project manager, told Equipment Finance News.
“We’ve seen in the past 10 years or so organizations change their approach to technology investment,” Mousdale said. “A lot of companies who aren’t technology companies are trying to be a technology company.”
Alfa Start contains more than 30 back-office operations, including sales tax and payments, while also providing lenders with access to Alfa’s data management system. Equipment finance organizations can customize the product to their needs, Mousdale said.
Alfa intends to continuously update Alfa Start similar to its other internal clients, he said.
Alfa looks to cloud hosting and the ability to connect with APIs as key features of modernizing the equipment finance technology stack, Mousdale said.
Finance providers Toyota Financial Services, Santander, Mercedes-Benz, Daimler Truck and CarMax use Alfa’s data management system, according to its website.
