Bridgeville, Pa.-based Anderson Equipment manages 18 full-service locations across six states in the Northeast and several product lines, including Komatsu, Takeuchi and Dynapac. Dealer management systems are in the spotlight on the heels of CDK Global’s outage, which negatively affected the automotive and commercial truck industry. In this inaugural podcast, Boy describes how Anderson Equipment developed its independent management software with an in-house IT team to help its dealerships manage data and stay open.
“We’ve decided to, as a company, invest in ourselves and in writing our own software to ensure that we’re the ones controlling the outcome of any potential ill will against us,” Boy says.
