OEM Astec Industries has signed a definitive agreement to acquire asphalt plant equipment manufacturer CWMF.

Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Astec, which makes specialized equipment for asphalt road building, aggregate processing, concrete production and recycling, expects the acquisition to close in the first quarter of 2026, according to a company release today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

CWMF’s distribution footprint is concentrated in the Midwest, South-Central and Great Lakes regions. The deal aligns with Astec’s growth strategy and will expand its manufacturing capabilities.

“Based on the extensive product and manufacturing knowledge of our combined teams, we anticipate integration to be efficient,” Astec President and Chief Executive Jaco van der Merwe stated in the release. “Our organizations are a strong cultural fit, and we look forward to having the CWMF employees join the Astec team.”
