Greenworks Commercial has been awarded a Sourcewell contract, streamlining the procurement of its battery-powered outdoor equipment for public agencies, schools and nonprofits across the U.S. and Canada.

The partnership simplifies purchasing by ensuring competitive pricing and high sustainability standards for government entities, according to a March 13 Greenworks release. Through the agreement, organizations can more easily transition to electric tools, reducing emissions, noise pollution and maintenance costs while improving efficiency.

Greenworks’ selection followed a competitive evaluation process, affirming its leadership in sustainable outdoor power solutions, according to the release. The contract includes Greenworks Commercial’s full range of professional-grade equipment, such as utility vehicles, lawn mowers, blowers, trimmers, chainsaws and its high-performance OPTIMUSZ Zero Turn Mowers.

The deal allows agencies to bypass time-consuming procurement processes, accelerating the shift toward environmentally friendly solutions, according to the release. Greenworks, a pioneer in lithium-ion battery technology since 2002, continues to lead the industry in commercial-grade, battery-powered landscaping tools online and at more than 11,000 retail locations.

The third annual Equipment Finance Connect at the JW Marriott Nashville on May 14-15, 2025, is the only event for both equipment dealers and finance providers. Learn more and register here.
