CNH has introduced its factory-installed Sense and Act camera sensing technology to enhance precision farming tech, enabling farmers to apply the right amount of herbicide, fertilizer or growth aids with greater accuracy.
The system, marketed under Case IH SenseApply and New Holland IntelliSense brands, uses a single cab-mounted camera sensor to assess field conditions in real time and adjust application rates accordingly. Capable of yearround use, the farming tech supports both Selective Spray and Live Variable Rate Application modes.
Case IH estimates SenseApply can save farmers up to 65% on herbicide costs, delivering up to $28,000 in annual savings on a 3,500-acre wheat farm and paying for itself within two years.
