Telematics firm Geotab has expanded its OEM integration with Daimler Truck North America’s Freightliner trucks, adding support for models equipped with Cummins powertrains.
Geotab’s enhanced telematics solution provides fleets with direct access to critical vehicle data, helping optimize cost management, sustainability and safety, according to a March 6 Geotab release. The integration, built into Freightliner’s factory-installed connected truck platform, allows fleet operators to activate telematics remotely without additional hardware.
The system delivers real-time insights through the MyGeotab fleet management platform, enabling data-driven decisions to improve vehicle performance and operational efficiency, according to Geotab’s release. Geotab serves over 55,000 global customers, processing 80 billion data points daily from over 4.7 million vehicle subscriptions.
Daimler Truck North America’s Anil Khanna said the solution simplifies data access for fleets and enhances decision-making, according to Geotab’s release. Geotab’s James McDermott added that integrating data from Freightliner trucks makes mixed-fleet management more seamless while improving efficiency and sustainability.
