Compact equipment OEM Yanmar will become the majority owner of OEM AriensCo through a partnership aimed at accelerating development of next-generation outdoor power equipment.
The Ariens family will retain a significant ownership stake and continue to lead AriensCo’s operations from its Brillion, Wis., headquarters, according to a Sept. 3 AriensCo release. Financial terms were not disclosed.
AriensCo will continue operating its existing brands, including Ariens, Gravely and AS-Motor, while maintaining its employees, manufacturing operations and distribution networks.

The companies plan to focus on technologies including automation, artificial intelligence and electrification as the outdoor power equipment market evolves.
AriensCo’s dealer network could gain access to broader product and technology capabilities, expanded service and diagnostic resources and Yanmar’s global business network.
