ELFA hires Kinney as SVP of policy, government affairs
Job includes spearheading advocacy efforts, representing ELFA at federal agencies,
The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association has appointed Susan Sullivan Kinney as senior vice president of policy and government affairs.
Kinney will oversee the trade group’s federal and state advocacy efforts, lead its government relations strategy and serve as ELFA’s primary representative before federal agencies, according to an ELFA release today.
Kinney had been senior vice president of congressional relations at the Independent Community Bankers of America. Before that, she spent nearly a decade at the American Financial Services Association in federal and state advocacy roles, including managing the group’s political action committee.
ELFA is currently working to address compliance hurdles such as discrepancies in state disclosure laws and extensive reporting requirements under proposed changes to Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act, according to the trade group.
