Mahindra and Mahindra, the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, has agreed to sell its entire stake in farm equipment manufacturer Sampo Rosenlew Oy to investment banking firm Tera Yatirim Teknoloji Holding.
The deal, completed through a share purchase agreement, will end Sampo Rosenlew’s status as a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra, according to a Mahindra release today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Sampo Rosenlew is a distinguished company with a rich heritage and a strong track record of systematically advancing its products and operations to remain competitive,” Emre Tezmen, chairman of Tera Yatirim Teknoloji Holding, stated in the release. “We are committed to continuing this progress as we shape the future of this respected brand.”
