Daimler Truck North America has launched a Corporate Development division to sharpen strategic focus and speed value creation across the company.

The division will be led by Rakesh Aneja, who previously headed DTNA’s eMobility business, according to a Sept. 4 company release. In his expanded role, Aneja will oversee the company’s strategic direction, joint ventures and partnerships and corporate responsibility initiatives.

Aneja will also lead Daimler Truck’s global Autonomous Technology Group, advancing development of its autonomous-ready vehicle platform and managing industry partnerships. He succeeds Joanna Buttler, who recently became general manager of product strategy and market development at DTNA.

The new division will work closely with Daimler Truck’s global Corporate Development team, led by Christian Herrmann.
