Equipment Finance News Webinar

Equipment lenders and dealers will come together for the Equipment Finance News’ webinar “Tech-driven risk management: How innovation is reshaping equipment finance” on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. ET.

In this free, 45-minute discussion moderated by EFN Deputy Editor Johnnie Martinez II, industry leaders will share how connected equipment data and predictive insights are creating new opportunities –  and new challenges – for the equipment finance sector. As automation, connectivity and data analytics redefine the equipment finance landscape, risk management is evolving at unprecedented speed.

The global risk-management technology market reached about $10.5 billion in 2024 and is projected to climb to $23.7 billion by 2028, according to market research firm Imarc Group. Meanwhile, technology governance and compliance represent essential elements for demonstrating trust and confidence to stakeholders, with 88% of decision makers citing compliance with IT-related laws and regulations, 83% prioritizing cybersecurity programs and safeguards, and 81% emphasizing strong internal controls, according to EY’s 2025 Technology Risk Pulse Survey released Oct. 14.

This comes as digital contracting in equipment finance rose 7% year over year in the third quarter, underscoring growing importance of data visibility and real-time asset tracking, according to Wolters Kluwer. In addition, roughly 72% of lending institutions used AI in 2024, up from 55% in 2023, according to software provider JumpGrowth

Discussion topics for the webinar include:

  • Telematics and data-driven risk: How real-time machine data is improving credit quality, asset visibility and loss prevention.
  • Residual value and technology risk: Managing depreciation uncertainty for electric, autonomous and AI-enabled equipment.
  • Cyber and compliance resilience: Protecting connected fleets and finance portfolios from digital and operational threats.

Equipment finance and risk professionals, OEM and captive finance executives and dealers, lenders, and operations leaders across the commercial equipment industry should attend to learn more about how technology is shifting the equipment finance industry.
