Commercial vehicle charging infrastructure provider Greenlane has launched a new dealer program to accelerate the adoption of electric trucks by lowering costs and addressing charging infrastructure barriers, beginning with Whittier, Calif.-based Velocity Truck Centers.
Under the program, Greenlane provides $500 in charging credits, discounted rates, and a six-month subscription to its Edge platform, according to a company release today. The program also includes real-time reservation tools and fleet management features to help reduce total cost of ownership.
Velocity Truck Centers is the first dealer to join, rolling out the program immediately across its network of 65 U.S. commercial vehicle dealerships, according to the release. Velocity Truck Centers sells and supports multiple commercial vehicle brands, while also offering equipment financing through Crossroads Equipment Lease and Finance and small business loans via Velocity SBA.
The initiative is designed to ease range anxiety and simplify electrification for fleets, while helping dealerships pilot EV programs without investing in costly infrastructure, according to the release. Dealers benefit from sales support, marketing resources, and access to Greenlane’s public charging hubs, including its flagship Colton, Calif., site with more than 40 high-speed chargers.
