Turner Construction Company has launched First Equipment Company, a centralized equipment rental and site services business designed to support Turner projects nationwide and provide services to the broader construction market.
First Equipment Company will expand equipment and site services that have already been used on several Turner projects, according to today’s Turner release. With the launch, New York City-based Turner will extend those services to more than 40,000 U.S. trade contractors that work on its projects each year, while also offering equipment rental and site services to others.
The new company consolidates equipment sourcing, management and support into a single organization, covering assets such as heavy machinery, operating equipment, temporary power and lighting, office and restroom trailers, fencing and site controls, according to the release. The centralized approach reduces administrative burden, improves coordination and provides faster, more reliable support.
First Equipment Company is part of Turner’s broader investment in project delivery capabilities, which also includes xPL Offsite, SourceBlue, the Turner Accelerated Payment Program, the Turner Engineering Group and expanded self-perform operations. The initiatives aim to improve efficiency, support trade partners and deliver greater value to clients.
The company integrates procurement, operations and support through teams of equipment professionals embedded in local markets, according to the release. As a wholly owned subsidiary, First Equipment Company aligns with Turner’s standards while operating as a dedicated equipment and site services provider, leveraging Turner’s enterprise buying power to support project execution and collaboration across the construction ecosystem.
