John Deere is planning a major investment in the United States following shutdown rumors

Equipment manufacturer John Deere announced a $20 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing over the next 10 years, reinforcing its long-term commitment to domestic production, according to a Deere announcement today. The initiative aims to expand advanced product development, solutions and manufacturing capabilities while maintaining global cost competitiveness.

The company employs more than 30,000 people across 60 locations in 16 states, supporting a wide range of industries including agriculture, construction and landscaping, according to the announcement.

John Deere emphasized that, contrary to rumors, it is not shutting down U.S. operations but instead deepening its investment in innovation and growth within its core U.S. market.
