Trinity Capital has expanded its equipment finance platform by acquiring Equipment Leasing Services (ELS).
The acquisition strengthens Trinity’s ability to serve middle-market businesses across manufacturing, transportation, construction and aerospace industries, according to a May 26 Trinity release. The move also adds an established originations platform and recurring income stream to Trinity’s business. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We expect the addition of ELS’ originations pipeline will drive revenue, strengthen our position as a leading provider of equipment financing and help unlock the next phase of growth for Trinity, providing increased returns for our platform and shareholders,” Trinity Chief Executive Kyle Brown stated in the release.
ELS CEO Alex Powell and the rest of the leadership team there will continue to lead ELS as a standalone portfolio company of Trinity Capital.
